I am a UK-based journalist with experience in news-writing and monitoring and television, online and radio production. I have a deep understanding of the Middle East and North Africa and a particular knowledge of current affairs, politics, conflicts, governments and societies in the Arab world.
At the BBC, I focus on Syria and North Africa, writing analysis features and news stories, verifying User Generated Content (UGC) and selecting and translating articles from the Arabic press.
I have a masters degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. I also have a masters degree in international law from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
